FAQ

Most questions are about what does not happen on the server.

Privacy, pricing, compatibility, and the small details about how Pizazoo lives on your Mac.

Is my data really private?

Yes. The core organization workflow runs locally on your Mac. We never see your screenshots, and nothing is sent to a server to use the library, review popup, or text search.

What does the free version include?

The free version gives you automatic organization, the review popup, basic search, and the menu bar widget. It covers the core workflow with no time limit.

What does Pro add?

Pro unlocks saved search views, custom tags and categories, priority support, and multiple-Mac activation depending on your plan.

Is this a subscription?

No. It is a one-time purchase. You pay once and own your license forever. Future major-version upgrades may be offered separately at a discount.

Which macOS versions are supported?

Pizazoo requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later. It runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Can I move my library to another Mac?

Yes. Your library is stored locally and can be transferred via Migration Assistant, an external drive, or any file-transfer method you prefer.

What is the review popup?

After every screenshot, a gentle floating popup appears showing a thumbnail and a suggested category. You can confirm it, change it, add notes, or favorite it — all before the moment passes. The popup is invisible to screen capture, so it never shows up in your screenshots.

Can it auto-delete originals after import?

Yes. Turn it on in Settings and the app will automatically clean up originals from your Desktop once they're safely organized. It also remembers every screenshot it's seen, so duplicates are quietly skipped.

How does it differ from Apple Photos or Finder?

Apple Photos is built for camera roll photos, and Finder just shows files. Pizazoo is purpose-built for screenshots — it reads them, sorts them, and makes them searchable by what's inside. Think of it as a visual memory for your Mac.

Does it work with CleanShot X, Shottr, or Xnapper?

Yes. Pizazoo monitors your screenshot folder regardless of which capture tool writes to it. If a file appears in your screenshot directory, it gets organized.

How much disk space does it use?

The app itself is lightweight. Your screenshots stay where they are — the app builds a small index alongside them. Expect a few megabytes for a library of several thousand screenshots.

Can I use it on multiple Macs?

Yes. The Pro 3-device and Pro 5-device plans allow activation on multiple Macs with the same license key.

How do I recover my license?

Use Restore license in the footer or inside the app, then enter the email address used at checkout. If you still need help, contact support and include the purchase email.

What happens if I run out of activations?

You can deactivate a device from your account dashboard and activate a new one. There is no lock-in.

Is there a refund policy?

Yes. If the app does not meet your expectations, reach out within 30 days and we will issue a full refund — no questions asked. Read the full Refund Policy.

How do I uninstall Pizazoo?

To completely remove Pizazoo: 1) Quit the app from the menu bar. 2) Drag Pizazoo from your Applications folder to the Trash. 3) Optionally, delete your library data at ~/Library/Application Support/Pizazoo/ if you want to remove all organized screenshots and settings. Your original screenshots remain untouched unless you enabled "delete originals after import".
