How to stitch screenshots together

Combine several screenshots into one image in four steps, free and in the browser, with nothing to install.

  1. Add your screenshots

Drag 2 to 20 images into the drop zone, paste them with ⌘V / Ctrl+V, or tap the drop zone to pick them from Photos or Files.

  2. Put them in order

Use the arrow buttons to arrange the list. The first image ends up at the top of a vertical stitch, or on the left of a horizontal one.

  3. Choose the layout

Pick Vertical for one long image or Horizontal for side by side, then decide how to match sizes and whether you want a gap between images.

  4. Download or share

Choose PNG or JPG and download stitched.png or stitched.jpg. On iPhone, tap Share and then Save Image to put it in Photos.

What this tool does

  • Stitch 2 to 20 screenshots vertically (one long image) or horizontally (side by side)
  • Reorder with up and down buttons, or remove any image from the stack
  • Match every image to the widest or narrowest width (tallest or shortest height side by side), or keep original sizes and align them
  • Optional gap between images, in any color
  • Download as PNG (lossless) or JPG with a quality slider, or share straight to Photos on iPhone
  • Works in Safari on iPhone and iPad. Results too big for the browser are scaled down evenly, with a note
  • No upload. Your screenshots never leave your device

Frequently asked questions

How do I stitch screenshots together on iPhone without an app?

Open this page in Safari, tap the drop zone, choose Photo Library, and select your screenshots. Fix the order with the arrows, keep Vertical selected, then tap Share and choose Save Image to put the long image in Photos (Download saves it to the Files app instead). Nothing is installed and nothing is uploaded. If you prefer a built-in route, the Shortcuts app has a Combine Images action that joins photos vertically or horizontally.

How do I combine screenshots on a Mac with Preview?

Preview has no stitch or combine command, and it cannot add canvas space to an image, so stacking two screenshots in it means awkward copy-and-paste workarounds. The quicker options are to drop the screenshots into this page in Safari or Chrome, or to build a small shortcut in the Shortcuts app with the Combine Images action. If you want separate pages rather than one long picture, select the screenshots in Finder and use Quick Actions > Create PDF.

Are my screenshots uploaded anywhere?

No. The images are read and drawn with the canvas API in your own browser, and the stitched file is created on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, which matters when the screenshots show chats, receipts, or account details. You can check by loading the page and then turning Wi-Fi off.

What if my screenshots are different sizes?

By default every image is scaled to the width of the widest one (the height of the tallest one side by side), so nothing is enlarged beyond your largest screenshot. You can match the narrowest instead, which only ever shrinks images, or keep original sizes and align them left, center, or right, with the gap color filling the empty space.

Why is my stitched image smaller than expected?

Browsers limit how many pixels one image can hold. Safari on iPhone and iPad allows about 16.7 megapixels, which is roughly four or five full-size iPhone screenshots stacked; desktop browsers allow far more. When the result would be bigger, the tool scales the whole image down evenly and shows a note with the new size. For full resolution, stitch fewer screenshots at a time or use a computer.

Can it remove overlap and build a scrolling screenshot?

No. It joins images edge to edge, or with the gap you choose, and does not try to detect or trim overlapping parts, so crop overlaps first if you need a seamless result. For a long capture of a single web page on iPhone, take a screenshot in Safari and choose Full Page, which saves the whole page as a PDF.

Should I save as PNG or JPG?

PNG is lossless and keeps text perfectly sharp, but a long stitched screenshot can be several megabytes. JPG is much smaller and fine for chats and email; a quality of 85 to 90 keeps text readable, and you can go lower if a site has an upload size limit.
