Pizazoo 1.0.2 — A Full Markup Editor Inside Your Screenshot Library
Pizazoo 1.0.2 ships a complete markup editor: annotate, redact, blur, watermark, sign, background-remove, perspective-fix — non-destructive, on-device, free.
Pizazoo started as a screenshot organizer — watch the folder, run on-device AI, OCR-index everything, make it searchable. With 1.0.2 it becomes a screenshot editor too.
This is a single-app workflow change: you no longer have to bounce between Pizazoo (to find a screenshot) and Skitch / Preview / CleanShot (to edit it). Everything happens in one place, on your Mac, with the original always preserved.
The full tool inventory
Per reader request, here is the complete list of tools shipping in the 1.0.2 markup editor. The Features page intentionally summarises these — this post is the canonical reference.

Non-destructive everything
Every tool above is a layer. The original screenshot is preserved untouched in your library. Remove the layer, get the original back. Save, and the edited version lives beside the original.
Why an editor inside the organizer
Three reasons.
1. You already opened Pizazoo to find the screenshot. Why hand it to another app to edit when the editor can live in the same window?
2. Edits should stay searchable. When you edit a screenshot in Skitch and save to Desktop, it falls back out of your library and out of OCR. In Pizazoo, the edited version is automatically re-indexed.
3. Privacy. Most "free" editors today either upload to the cloud, require an account, or ship cross-platform Electron wrappers. Pizazoo is native macOS, runs on Apple Vision + NLP on your Mac, and never uploads.
What it doesn't do (yet)
Honesty matters. 1.0.2 does not include:
- Scrolling page captures (use Shottr or CleanShot X to capture, then edit in Pizazoo)
- Video / screen recording (use macOS’s built-in or Snagit)
- GIF capture
- Native multi-page PDF signing (you can sign single pages)
- Multi-screenshot bulk redaction
These are tracked. If something is critical for your workflow, tell us at [email protected].
